Can Tho hosts second southern folk cake festival

This is an annually cuisine promotion event of Can Tho city on the spring.

The festival displays, introduces and promotes folk cakes made from rice, sticky rice and other agricultural products in the Mekong Delta; where people can exchange culture, cuisine and tourism.

In festival, visitors not only have opportunity to taste more than 100 kinds of Southern folk cakes but also watch artisans performing process of making folk cakes such as Vietnamese pancake, steamed vermicelli, packaging and cooking Banh Tet, and some other kinds of folk cakes.

Besides, visitors may experience to make folk cakes as well as participate in folk games and traditional activities.

Time: From 23rd to 25th on the lunar December each year.

Venue: Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho city.
