Lo Ren star apple – MEKONG ECO TOUR

It has a white transparent soft sweet inside. Its pult tastes soft with special scent. It is interesting to sit with our backs against star apple tree trunk to enjoy the flavour of star apples and get some fresh air from the field and remember our childhood when we hold baby bottles. That is a common way of eating the fruit. When we serve guests, people often cut peduncle part and use a spoon to spoon up the inside gradually or split a star apple into 6 pieces and use a knife to separate their skins (keep the inside) and put them on a plate. Then use forks to eat each piece.

There is another finical way of eating star apple: peel its skin and slice from the peducle down (eliminate seed and hard part). Then put it into a liquidizer and add sugar or milk, cocoa for grinding. After that, put it into an ice frame in the fridge. We can enjoy it like yoghurt or mix it with planed ice to have a glass of special vitamin.
