Where to visit in Ben Tre?

Ben Tre is a plain province adjacent to East Sea with 65km seashore and 4 large rivers: Tien Giang, Ham Luong, Co Chien and Ba Lai.

Ben Tre was divided into 3 main island provinces: An Hoa Island (including Chau Thanh and Binh Dai district), Bao Island (including Ben Tre city and Giong Trom, Ba Tri district), Minh Island (including 4 districts: Cho Lach, Mo Cay Nam, Mo Cay Bac and Thanh Phu).

Ben Tre is a Southwest province with 2 separated seasons: dry and rainy season. Ben Tre has an interlacing canal system and luxuriant orchards and coconut trees.

Ben Tre is a various historic site system and the born place of many celebrities like Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Phan Van Tri, Phan Van Gian, Vo Truong Toan… Besides, natural factors and the culture have made Ben Tre a popular destination.

 

Con Phung

Con Phung is situated in Tan Thach commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien River. Coming to Con Phung, tourists will have the chance to visit coconut candy factories and handicrafts made from coconut, enjoy fresh fruits, have a cup of honey bee with kumquat tea and singing performances

On Doan Ngo holiday (5th May to the Lunar year) each year, they hold a traditional festival which attracts tourists a lot.

 

Vam Ho Bird Park

Lying between My Hoa and Tan Xuan commune, Ba Tri district, Vam Ho park is the accommodation of more than 500,000 kinds of storks, cauldrons and other birds. Vam Ho also attracts tourists by date-palm forests and rich vegetation.

Coming to Vam Ho Bird Park, you can walk in the forest, ride canoe in mangroves, visit revolution bases, cross hanging bridges and enjoy fresh air of Ba Lai River.

Nowadays, Ben Tre is planning to build Vam Ho Bird Park ecotourism and resort with total area of 29 ha.

Cai Mon orchard

Famous for durian, Cai Mon orchard is in Vinh Thanh commune, Cho Lach district. Tourists can enjoy fresh fruit at any time of the year. Cai Mon orchard also supply millions of seedlings for the market such as durian, mangosteen, mango…

Cai Mon also has a lot of tree artists with unique shapes like giraffe, dragon, phoenix… And the trees are exported to the Southeast Asia countries.

Besides, you can visit Thua Duc beach in Binh Dai or Ngao beach in Ba Tri district and pristine Con Bung beach in Thanh Phu district.
