Vinh Long province- MEKONG ECO TOUR
Vinh Long is a province located in the center of the Mekong Delta, between Tien River and Hau River. It has been considered as a gateway as well as a bridge linking the two major economic centers: Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta Provinces. Vinh Long is bounded by Tien Giang in the North, Đong Thap in the northern West, Ben Tre in the East , and Can Tho in the South. The province, including Vinh Long Town and 6 districts (Long Ho, Mang Thit, Binh Minh, Tam Binh,Tra On, Vung Liem) is 1,490km2 and has a population of over 1,200,000.
The topography of Vinh Long is rather even and flat with fruitful orchards and its jumble canals system facilitates the waterway transport. Vinh Long has a monsoon tropical climate. Its rainy season is from May to October and dry one from November to April. In this fertile and alluvial region, the three peoples: Viet, Chinese and Khmer have all been living in solidarity and affinity.
