ITINERARY:

We will depart from Ninh Kieu Quay at 6 am for the Cai Rang Floating Market. We are into the floating market to explore the way local people there exchange the product right on their boats. Enjoy pineapple purchasing from the floating market to experience the feeling of local people there. You will enjoy the view of the floating market at the same time.

Then the boat heads to visit the local rice noodle factory to learn how local people make noodles by hands in traditional way. You can have breakfast with typical food right there called Noodle Pizza

Back to the boat and head into small and long canals for enjoying the peaceful environment there, get to know more about the daily life of local people along the way.

After that, we visit Thuong Thanh Temple. It was built at the end of 18th and at the beginning of the 20th centuries. The structure of the temple was designed with three portions of a house (concept: “three portions of a house for mammon”) in the typical Vietnamese tradition. Besides, the some structure other of the temple is also influence by Western style. Then, we visit Vietnamese herbs medication place free for local people near by the temple.

Continue journey, we start the cycling trip around the countryside area to explore the authentic Mekong region. We stop at rice-hulling factory so that we find out about process of rice production. Then, we transfer to a winemaking kiln and learn about the fermentation way of wine. And then, we ride by our bike on country road and stop at a smithery on the road so that we can know the way to make a knife that is not easy for blacksmiths.

Have lunch with specialty dishes at local people house before we roamed to the other places by boat. Along the Hau river bank, we visit to a brick kiln across from Can Tho Bridge. With structure of brick kilns in there is pretty special, we can free taking photo with them. Besides we can also find out manufacturing process of bricks. Leaving brick kiln, we continue to visit floating fish house where we can experience how local people raise fish in Hau river. And then we back to Ninh Kieu Quay.
