HCM-LONG AN-BEN TRE-DONG THAP-CHAU DOC-CAN THO (6D5N)

Day 1: HCM city – Long An- Ben Tre (L,D)

Our tourguide and driver pick tourists up at 7:00 AM and depart for Long An. Upon arrival after 1 hour. Tourists visit Nafoods Factory – Fruits & Vegetables Manufacturer : Fresh fruits and vegetables are quickly transported to the plants, then sorted and put into the modern processing lines which were imported from European suppliers. With these modern processing lines, Nafoods Group could supply many different types of products, namely fruit concentrate juice, fruit puree juice, IQF vegetables and fruits, fresh fruits. These types of products meet the standards of strict food safety certificates such as AIJN, Halal, Kosher, BRC, SGF, ISO 22000:2005, etc. At the moment, Nafoods products have been exported to more than 50 countries all over the world, especially to the most demanding markets such as European countries, America, Australia, Japan, etc. and started to research the consumer product from fruit juice to meet the domestic demand.

In the afternoon, visiting Tan Lap Floating village: tourists discover and learn about this huge wetland with lush vegetation, or can go sightseeing at blooming lotus pond though it is not as many lotus as in Tram Chim (Dong Thap) …Passing this swamp, in font of your eyes is a large space of mangrove forest – a familiar scene of people in the West rivers. The highlight of the Melaleuca forest is the 38 m high watchtower where you admire the panoramic grandeur, immense forests and the longest cement path through the melaleuca forest in Vietnam (about 5 km).Along the way, you will feel the cool space of green forests, the freshness of the nature with the smells of mud, duckweed, grass, moss … In the quiet and peaceful scenery, it is ideal to spread your arms, take a deep breath to get the fresh spirit and continue to the next journey.

And then arrival Ben Tre Province (about 2 hours)

Day 2: Ben Tre- Dong Thap (B,L,D)

After the breakfast , Tourists visit Betrimex factory .Betrimex is the leading manufacturer and exporter of coconut-based products in Vietnam. Coconuts are carefully chosen from the renowned farms of Ben Tre Province – known for their high yield and high quality.

Then tourists go to Dong Thap

In the afternoon, tourists visit mandarin oranges garden in Lai Vung, Dong Thap. Here, tourists have a chance to join local farmers and traders to harvest and enjoy the fruit and take photos while listening to amateur southern singing. All will give tourists an unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Dong Thap- Chau Doc (B,L,D)

Once staying here, tourists should get up early and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the countryside before having breakfast in the homestay. Tourists can choose continuing to bike and communicate with the locals or join the local’s daily activities such as out in the field, fishing, planting tree or pick fruit, etc with the host.

In the afternoon, tourists transfer to Chau Doc. Visiting Ta Pa mountain in Nui To, Tri Ton. From its peak, tourists capture the image Ta Pa fields. Charming trails meander through the colourful fields. Rice plants in each patch ripen at different times due to microclimate variations, creating multiple shades of greens and yellows. The fresh air and beautiful Tà Pạ mountain scenery made our challenging road trip worthwhile.

Day 4: Chau Doc – Can Tho  (B,L,D)

After the breakfast, tourists depart for CanTho. Upon arrival after 3 hours.

In the afternoon, tourists visit Can Tho Farm where creating fresh, safe vegetables and fruit .Such systems include organic farming methods, refrigeration systems, frozen preservation techniques, stable harvesting techniques, and improved product quality.

Then tourists visit West Food Company. At West Food, they are well aware of the responsibilities in producing canned and frozen products with high quality, freshness and nutrition as just-picked. Their slogan is “With WEST FOOD, you have your own fresh vegetable and fruit garden at home”! At the harvest time, only fruits and vegetables of qualified ripeness and sweetness are harvested manually to ensure the sanitation and perfect conditions for processing. After harvested, fruits and vegetables shall be transported to the factory for processing and packaging immediately in the same day with automatic and modern machines imported from developed countries such as the United States, Japan, Europe etc. At the present, WEST FOOD is owning 3 IQF chains following the production standard of Europe to serve for processing frozen products with the capacity of thousands kilograms per hour and the 2 most advanced canning chains in Can Tho which is operated with 85% of design capacity. It can be seen that the modern machines and equipments of West Food are of the same level and standards as those in South East Asia countries to meet the orders from countries throughout the world.

Day 5: Can Tho (B,L,D)

Tourists will depart from NinhKieu Park by boat at 6:00 am for the Cai Rang Floating Market – the biggest wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta. The Cai Rang Market is well known for its variety of fresh fruits and other local products. Hundreds of boats still gather there to buy and sell every morning.

From there, we keep going to home-made rice noodle, made from rice flour and manioc flour.

After that, the boat will take us to small canal where you will get to know more about local’ life along. We will visit the BinhThuy Ancient House is a combination of Chinese and French architecture, built in 1870. The well-known French film, “L’amant,” was filmed on site at this local treasure and BinhThuy Temple is another well-known landmark, and serves as the center for many community activities before going to Son Island where you can experience how local people raise fish in Mekong River, and visit fruit gardens with many kinds of fruits. Tourists can learn how to make typical cakes of Mekong Delta.

The boat will take us back to Ninh Kieu Quay, on the way we can visit a floating house– where locals raise a lot of fish in Mekong river.
